I’m so happy

I just wanted to take the opportunity and thank Alison for all her help. You may have read my article the other day: A Little Curb Appeal. If you didn’t see it, you can check it out here. As I was saying… Alison, she made such a difference for me, so I wanted to give her a huge shout out of Thanks! I think it’s important to give credit where credit is due and I couldn’t have pulled off what I did, let alone write that article without her. So thanks again Alison, I really appreciate it. Guys you can check out her website here: http://www.curbappealfixers.com Thanks for reading and […]

The Force Awakens

OK, let’s talk about The Force Awakens. Yes—the Star Wars movie that came out last year to great trumpeting and fanfare. I’ll just say right up front that giving it a thumbs up is being generous. It barely deserves that. The main reason I say that is because there are too many aspects of it that feel like the original Star Wars movies just remade. The whole plot is just too close to the first one. The good guys are making a comeback from some desolate godforsaken planet. The bad guys have built this mind-blowingly huge planet shaped battlestar. The bad guys vastly outrank the good guys. Keep going . […]

The Finest Hours: A New Angle

A Review of The Finest Hours My test of a movie is if I walk out of the theater saying that I want to own it when it comes out on DVD. I said that after I saw The Finest Hours. It’s the story of the disaster in 1952 off the coast of Cape Cod, when a tanker was caught in a giant storm and actually broke apart in the ocean. Back on shore, the Coast Guard sent out a crew on a boat that never should have made it out, but did, and ended up rescuing almost the whole crew of the tanker. The crew had ended up in […]

A Little Curb Appeal

Keeping Up with your home So I’m going to digress from the movie track for one post and talk about a recent experience I had getting a house ready to sell. Without going into all the gory details, I’ll just say that I had a house dumped into my lap that needed a bunch of work done to get it livable again and rentable. I didn’t really know where to start, so I cast out the information net and googled property maintenance Orlando, Oviedo, Clermont, New Smyrna, Deltona, Daytona, Deland, Sanford, Longwood, Lake Mary, Winter Park, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Windermere, Apopka, Minneola, and Groveland. I figured I might as well […]

The Jungle Book: A Review

Hot movie: Jungle Book: Suitable for Kids I’ve seen the new Jungle Book movie twice. The first time I saw it was because the trailers intrigued me and it looked like a beautiful and well done movie. The second time I saw it was because the first time didn’t disappoint and I liked it so much I wanted to see it again. There were a few things that stood out to me. Quality The quality of the acting (by the kid, obviously) was so great. How they found a kid that could really be so natural in all of his movements and reactions and speech patterns was beyond me. Really […]
